Shoushin Safety Measures

At Shoushin, health and safety have always remained a priority for our loyalty guests and hardworking staff. As we welcome you back for dine-in and takeout service, we have implemented some health and safety measures in compliant with government and health authority regulations to ensure you have a safe and stress-free dining experience. We ask that you review this section prior to you visit.

What to Expect:

 

  • Plexiglass
    We have multiple PlexiGlass installed to greatly protect the distance between our chefs and customers.
  • Physical Distancing
    While in the restaurant, kindly maintain a 6 feet distancing from other guests and our staff will maintain an appropriate distance from each other and from guests wherever possible.
  • Group Sizes
    Our seating capacity will be limited by 50% as directed by our public health officials. We will accept group sizes up to a maximum of 6 guests. Reservation is strongly recommended.
  • Health & Temperature Check
    We will be taking temperature check on the wrist for all guests prior to seating and will keep track of personal contact information, one per reservation, so we can easily get in touch in the unlikely event that a staff member or guest becomes ill.If you are feeling unwell or experiencing any COVID symptoms, we ask that you stay home and join us at another time.
  • Digital Menus
    To avoid unnecessary additional touchpoints, we are asking guests to order from the menu available on the restaurant website or from the menu emailed to them. Menu and wine list will be available on tablets for guest without a smartphone and will be sanitized after each use.
  • Cash Payment
    We are accepting card payment only.
  • Enhanced Sanitation Protocols
    Hand sanitizer is available at the reception area for guests and staff to use. Dining room tables, sushi counter, chairs and payment terminals are sanitized after each use, while frequent touch points such as door knobs and sink faucets at regular intervals.
  • Washroom Sanitation
    Washrooms are closely monitored, and cleaned and sanitized frequently, with specific attention to high-touch areas.
  • Staff Masks & Uniforms
    All staff have strict and extensive safety guidelines that includes temperature checks when arrive at work, wearing face masks, uniforms put on at work, and every employee is required to wash their hands for 20 seconds upon entering the restaurant, as well as throughout their shift.
  • Staff Health & Safety
    Any employee who is experiencing symptoms, has traveled outside of Canada, or has come into contact with a positive or suspected case of COVID-19 will be required to stay home from work for a minimum of 14 days.We kindly ask for your help in following these safety precautions, and appreciate your patience during this time.
